Auction of My Family Home

In August of 2009 my sister and I had our family home auctioned off along with the mountains of things that my mom and dad had saved over the past forty years. The idea of sifting through everything was daunting to both me and my sister so we hired an auctioneer to take care of the "STUFF".

Looking back I couldn't imagine a better way to move on with life and put closure on this project. It is true that I feel an absence of sorts now that it is all gone and not because of the stuff but because of this familiar stopping point when I went to Buffalo.

 

As in life things change and we move on. So to is it with the passing of my childhood home.
