This book contains several images using traditional equipment with a twist. This unique and unusual process began with black and white negatives. Once the negatives were processed they were hand painted using various color transparent dyes.
The enlarger’s color filtration combinations were set at unusual mixes. Large prints were made from these negatives using the RA4 roller transport machine.
The printed images were painted using a variety of color products such as oil paint, acrylic paints, water color paints, magic marker, etc. I began creating this body of work in 1990. I continue to make images like this using different methods and materials. These images can be seen at this link. |
