France
Paris, 2008
Paris is a beautiful city. It is open with large squares and open meeting places for Parisians to gather and mingle. My visit this time started with the Moulin Rouge. This nightclub scene began with dinner and ended with bare-breasted women prancing across a multifunctional stage. My hotel was located in the fashion district and near the Place de la Concorde. I visited many landmarks, including the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, where I dined the last day in the Jules Verne restaurant overlooking the entire city.
I hopped on the local bus while visiting a friend and got a feeling of a local Parisian weekday commute. Later that day I climbed Montmartre and took photos of the cityscape while the Eiffel Tower’s lights flashed on and off in celebration of the city. The cathedral of Notre Dame was a highlight, as well as the Orsay and the Louvre.
