Arches National Park
There is something about the size of the natural landscapes in the West that amaze me. The history they tell goes back further than I can imagine. I am lost in their magnificent beauty of varying colors and dominance. Warm hues of oranges, yellows, and reds contrast perfectly with the blue/blue skies. It is a place of wonder and awe.
Arches looks to be held in place by a string so that the slightest shake would tumble these beautiful aged megaliths into rubble. Rocks weighing tons teeter upon other rocks and have held this position for thousands of years. Yet all is not peaceful here, and many of the arches have collapsed while at the same time many are created. This visual evolution is a good example of our ever-changing world. Hidden passageways are still being discovered by the most adventurous people who are willing to venture off the beaten path at the risk of getting lost in the deeply cut rocks at Arches National Park.
