Slovakia
Bratislava, 2007
Bratislava is an old town of the former Czechoslovakia and now the capital of Slovakia. Struggling to rebuild from several years of Russian occupation, the city has areas of old and new that are striking in their contrast. Much of the town is still in disrepair, with crumbling walls. As I walked around the town, I discovered many old wooden doors intact and quite beautiful. The town square not only was a meeting place for locals but also functioned as an outdoor art gallery.

Below are several images from a small church we found during our walk. A monk met us there and seemed to like us so he took us up to this locked private room where he showed us the most amazing church relics and artifacts. Those images are below.
